On this site, you'll find reportage, investigations, commentary, reviews, creative writing and video and photography that explore the issues challenging 21st century Australia and the world, captured through the eyes of the generation who will live it.

Based at UNSW Sydney's Kensington campus, Newsworthy'sstudent journalists (undergraduate and postgraduate) are getting hands-on newsroom experience, firstly, in honing stories in text, multimedia, sound and vision and, secondly, in building audience in the complex new environment of distributed content, where audiences are found via social feeds and Google algorithms, as much as through the more traditional digital publishing platforms of the mobile and desktop homepage.

We pledge to maintain the highest possible standards of veracity, fairness to the facts, openness to diverse opinions, ethical consciousness, sensitivity to victims of trauma and research rigour.

A force for change as well as learning, Newsworthy will draw upon the immense talent and diverse perspectives of our highly internationalised study body to report on global challenges in their local contexts, including climate change, migration and asylum issues, economic and social equity. Students will write on arts and entertainment, look at the future of work and the impact of technological change on our lives.

Newsworthy pledges to maintain the highest possible standards of veracity, fairness to the facts, openness to diverse opinions, ethical consciousness, sensitivity to victims of trauma and research rigour. Errors, where they occur, will be speedily corrected.

Newsworthy's freedom to publish, as set out in its Charter of Editorial Integrity, is endorsed by UNSW Sydney's Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture.
