A reverend, a ministry apprentice and a student on why Bible study groups are increasingly popular on campus
Australians are becoming less religious, yet the number of students joining Bible study groups on university campuses is growing. So why are these students spending their time studying the Bible and discussing their faith? And in an increasingly secular world, is this seen as a taboo?
Newsworthy’s Marnie Gomes spoke to Reverend Dr. Ed Lo, Christian ministry apprentice Christy and UNSW student Lydia about why they are drawn to the church and why they think some young people are becoming more religious.
"Young adults have been moving towards spirituality, and more are becoming Christian. I definitely also see that trend here on campus," ministry apprentice Christy on the popularity of Bible study groups on campus.
