  • On Monday, the first phase of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire began with the exchange of hostages and detainee. The US-brokered ceasefire aims to end the deadly Gaza war.
  • Aboriginal deaths in custody have hit a record high this year, with 12 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people dying in custody in NSW so far this year.

A dolphin calf rescued after week-long effort off NSW coast

A dolphin calf has been freed after becoming tangled in fishing line off the NSW mid North Coast. The release followed a week-long rescue by Sea World Foundation, ORRCA and a local dive centre.
